Desirable Prayer Timings



The Fajr (Morning) Prayer:

       It begins after the dawning of the true dawn; it is better to delay it till it is twilight.

The Zohar (Afternoon) Prayer:

    After the declining of the sun, it is better to offer it somewhat earlier in the winter and later in the summer.

The Asr (Late Afternoon) Prayer:

    After the shadow of anything is doubled and before the sunlight becomes pale. It is better to offer it a bit earlier on cloudy days.

The Maghrib (Sunset) Prayer:

    After sunset, it is better to offer it a bit later on cloudy days.

The Isha (Night) Prayer:

    After the disappearance of the white twilight till the passing of one-third of the night, it is better to offer it a bit earlier on cloudy nights.

The Friday Prayer:

    After the declining of the sun, sick and disabled persons may offer it at home without congregation.

The Two Eid Prayers:

      After sunrise, it is better to offer the Eid-Ul-Fitar prayer a bit later and the Eid-Ul-Azha prayer a bit earlier.
